In late 2017, the Canadian punk scene said a heart-wrenching goodbye to Dangercat, one of Winnipeg’s most prominent groups, but hoping to fill that void now is Sour Days.

The new punk quintet (comprised of ex-members of Dangercat and DISTANCES) has just debuted their self-titled EP. The record doesn’t just fill a gap in the local scene, but also offers a deeper purpose and much-needed solace for both its listeners and the band’s members.

Inspired by the overwhelming feeling of despair, confusion and frustration that notoriously befalls young adults, lead singer, TJ Stevenson, teamed up with DJ Sangalang (bass/vocals), Tyler Swar (guitar), Michael Fardoe (guitar) and Casey Fiorante (drums), to bottle that emotional turmoil, turn it on its head and ultimately produce a superb moody, melodic take on punk.

Working with producer, Jordan Voth (Comeback Kid, Elder Abuse, Dangercat), Sour Days serves up a three-song EP that will be vastly enjoyed by fans of Jawbreaker, The Menzingers, and The Flatliners.

Stay up-to-date with Sour Days through Facebook, Instagram and twitter. Buy or Stream their self-titled EP on Bandcamp or Spotify.

The band heads back into the studio early next year to record their debut LP. Until then, catch Sour Days when they make their stage debut on November 21st opening for The Flatliners at The Park Theatre.
