We’re just a few days away from the first Sunspot Music Festival in Morristown, Indiana! The multi-band outdoor festival will showcase over 40 acts from in and around the mid-west & eastern United States!

We spoke with Sunspot performer, Abby Bland about the Indiana music scene and whose lyrics she’d get tattooed!

SPF:What inspired you to play music?
AB: Music was the only way I could express myself when I was growing up and still is.

SPF: What’s your favorite part about the Indy music scene?
AB: My favorite part about the scene is how small it is.

SPF: What’s your favorite part of your live show?
AB: My favorite part about my live show, is the ability to let go, and unleash!

SPF: What’s the one thing you hope people take from listening to your music?
AB: To laugh, to laugh about your pain, and your problems and not tar yourself too seriously.

SPF: Lyrics that you would get tattooed on you.
AB: Maybe a Sleater-Kinney song, or anything that Jack Black sings really.  I think “I didn’t get no allowance today so now I’m really ticked off,” would be cool!!
