Fans of Winnipeg pop-punk group, The Brotherhood & Co., are in for a treat this Friday when the band drops their new song, “Stephanie,” but we’re excited to give you the first listen.
The first single off their upcoming debut EP, “Stephanie” serves the band’s signature 2000s pop-punk sound, and delves into the inner turmoil of dealing with the one that got away.
“It represents that person you always wished you had been with but never had the chance,” explains frontman and the band’s main lyricist, Keenan Reimer. “That person’s represented by Stephanie. People always ask me who Stephanie is, but there isn’t one. It’s just a generic name, but everybody has their version of Stephanie.”
Balancing the lovelorn emotions, the band melds the bleak subject matter with a backdrop of upbeat, rosy vibes to create something a little more fun to cry your heart out to.
Snag a listen above. Download/Stream “Stephanie” on September 13, 2019. Follow The Brotherhood & Co. through their official website, Facebook and Instagram. Catch the band at Emo Night 2 at Cowboys in Winnipeg, on September 13. Stay tuned for the band’s debut EP, set to be released in the coming months.
