Anna Faye: 5 Questions from the SPF Main Stage

We’re excited to be the Main Stage Sponsors for the inaugural Sunspot Music Festival in Morristown, Indiana! The multi-band outdoor festival features over 40 acts from in and around the mid-west & east America! Acts range from alt-rock to hip-hop and pop.

We spoke with the pop-punk duo Anna Faye. They’ll be playing Sunspot Music Fest on June 16th on the SPF Main Stage.

SPF: What inspired you to play music?
AF: Honestly, as corny as it is, other music! I grew up listening to whatever was on the radio and whatever bands I could discover online or through shows. Every once in a while I’d listen to something and feel it emotionally. That feeling alone made me want to create music.

SPF: What’s your favorite part about the Indy music scene?
AF: Feeling back at home again. I grew up in Indy then moved away at 18 (to fort wayne) for college. I enjoy playing back at home getting to be in an area I know and love. I grew up knowing of some of the bands on this line up but never really jumped into the scene myself. Now being older and making my own music I have jumped in head first. The whole scene has been so welcoming and loving to myself and band members.

SPF: What’s your favorite part of your live show?
AF: I enjoy seeing people’s reactions to my songs; good or bad. Being able to see the audience gives me a good idea of if they are enjoying their time listening to me or not. Haha

SPF: What’s the one thing you hope people take from listening to your music?
AF: I hope they see my honesty in my writing, my desire to create a loving community of people enjoying music with a positive vibe. I hope people are inspired by my music.

SPF: Name one outdoor festival-goer tip!
AF:  SUNSCREEN AND WATER!
