We always want to be as close to our idols as possible, so we go to concerts to get charged to that positive. International concert tours are always exciting events that you do not want to miss, so to help you, we’ve compiled a list of upcoming rock concerts in London featuring some of the most popular rock performers.
Busted
Pop-rock English band, Busted consists of James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson. They split in January 2005. During the band’s early existence, they released two studio albums, a compilation, and a live performance album. They also won two Brit Awards for Best British Breakthrough Act and Best Pop Act, and the Record of the Year in 2004.
After 12 years of silence, the British synth-pop and pop-punk rockers returned to the music scene with their new album, Night Driver. Their tour in support of Night Driver starts January, 28th 2017 with a London show on February 3rd!
Richard Thompson
Next on our list is Richard Thompson, a British musician, composer, guitarist, music producer and officer of the Order of the British Empire. Thompson is said to be one of the best guitarists in the world with his highly-valued technique. In 1991 he was awarded the Orville H. Gibson award for Best Acoustic Guitarist. He has earned other accolades such as the Ivor Novello Award, and BBC Radio’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Richard Thompson has been a musician since 1967 when he started in the British folk-rock band Fairport Convention. To this day he continues to record and release new material. You can see him February 5th at Cadogan Hall.
Anthrax
US group Anthrax is all about the hard, rough, metal. In 2016 they released a new album, For All Kings. Anthrax is known as being one of the pioneers of their genre. Anthrax has been around since 1981 and is still one of the most popular bands in heavy metal.
Their albums lead in sales, fans grab concert tickets long before their performance dates, and each concert is an extremely bright, exciting, adrenaline-filled show. Catch them at on February 10 at O2 Forum Kentish Town.
Rod Stewart
On 26 and 27 February in London, you have the opportunity to see Rod Stewart, who was knighted late last year by Queen Elizabeth II for his service to music and charity work.
Popularity came to Stewart in the late 1960s, when he performed in The Faces. While still a singer of the band, he began releasing solo albums. The group disbanded in the mid-1970s and Stewart has since become one of the most successful British singers.
During his career, Rod Stewart has sold over 100 million records, becoming one of the best-selling artists in history and is in the Guinness Book of Records for the most visited open-air concerts in history.
Kaiser Chiefs
The Kaiser Chiefs are not one of those bands who instantly found success. They required years and years of hard work to win a place under the sun. On the way to any recognition, they had to start all over again – twice. Their current success – selling millions of albums, topping the charts and invitations to play some of the world’s major festivals – is a well-deserved reward for their will to win and believing in themselves.
Now a Kaiser Chiefs concert is not a rarity, especially in London. Performances often take place with a complete sell-out show, so be sure to buy your tickets well in advance. See them in London on March 1st.
